In November 2014, 58 Donors gave $12,482 to charitable funds at the Tipton County Foundation. In November 2015, 54 Donors gave $15,079 to support good works for their neighbors.

In November 2016, as part of the #GivingTuesday campaign, 134 Donors gave $38,794 to causes they care about:

  • $5,136 to support the United Community Fund

  • $4,343 to increase the Women’s Fund

  • $1,030 for Community Thanksgiving

  • $ 650 for Shoes for Kids

… and many more causes.

It’s not too late! Although #GivingTuesday has passed, Donors can still make a gift that makes a difference.

Please take time to consider your year-end giving... to church, alma mater, the health concerns you care about— and the human service needs and quality of life projects of our own community.

Make one more gift in 2016 to the causes that matter to you. Many of them can be assisted by a gift you make to your hometown community foundation.

Perhaps your funding for this special gift will come from reducing the number of Christmas cards you send. Or, it may be that you need a gift for “the one who already has everything.”

Call, email, or visit to discuss the power of your investment. Kindly mail a check to PO Box 412, or bring one to the Foundation Conference Center. (Click for information on donating by credit card or PayPal.)

We hope to hear from you before the last business day of the year. Tax-deductible business for 2016 will conclude at 3 pm, Friday, December 30. (This year, New Year’s Eve is on the weekend, and the Foundation will not be hosting its annual brunch.)

was November 29, 2016

America has a special day for Giving Thanks. We have two or three days for Getting Deals. Following Thanksgiving, we have Black Friday… Small Business Saturday... Cyber Monday…

Now TCF has joined with others to establish #GivingTUESDAY a global day dedicated to Giving Back! In 2017, #GivingTUESDAYis November 28.

It’s a simple idea. Tell everyone you can about what you are doing and why it matters. Together we’ll create ways to give more, give better, and give smarter.

#GivingTUESDAY originated as a project of the 92nd Street Y in New York City and the United Nations Foundation. It is a wonderful example of a how a network of nonprofits, companies, donors, and foundations can work together to advance philanthropy in a tangible way. For more information visit

Join us and be a part of a worldwide celebration of a new tradition of sharing. Just find a way for your family, your community, your school, your company, or your organization to come together to give something more on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.

For gifts of any size in November 2016, TCF provided a note card with the #GivingTUESDAY message on the front. Donors could personalize the inside and mail or present it to their recipient.

Click to print additional copies of the card on any paper, so you have enough to send in lieu of cards or gifts.
